La Terrazza Ristorante at 1088 Cambie Street has emerged as one of the landmark locations for showcasing fine Italian cusine in Vancouver’s Yaletown district. Chef Gennaro Iorio and his team have a “showcase ” menu planned for our first event of the fall on September 13, 2016.
We savoured a taste of Italy with a modern twist at the hands of our host and newest Maitre Rôtisseur Chef Gennaro Iorio, paired, as always, with a selection of exceptional wines from our Vancouver Chaine cellar master, Mr. Bob Charlton.
As a third-generation chef, Chef Iorio brings a depth of knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine, which he has deftly blended with a modern approach to cooking. It is a synthesis of old and new that has earned La Terrazza a very fine reputation.
For Chef Iorio, is truly a family affair. Today, the family orchard and farms in Trail supply many of the fresh ingredients at La Terrazza, and the biscottis and Italian baked goods are produced and sent down to the restaurant by Gennaro’s mother – a master baker. This dinner was truly memorable.
