BC’s Best Pinot Noir - a Blind Tasting

Join us for our premier wine tasting event of the year, co-hosted with the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. Each annual edition features six of the best BC expressions of a single varietal, tasted side-by-side, ranked individually by preference, and revealed alongside group consensus.

This year’s showcase highlights Pinot Noir—a varietal that does well in BC’s terroir and rivals some of the best in the world.

Event Overview

• Welcome Reception: We gather at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for a casual Champagne reception before entering the main ballroom.
• The Blind Tasting: Guests will sit down to six pre-poured glasses of outstanding Pinot Noir, taste each, and rank them from 1 to 6.
• The Reveal and Commentary: Results will be compiled in real time and displayed for the room. RVYC Sommelier Kwon Hyeokjin will guide the tasting, reveal the bottles and share expert insights on each wine's profile.
• Culinary Pairings: Thoughtfully curated small bites will accompany the tasting and discussion.

Post-Event Dinner:

Following the tasting, guests are warmly invited to extend the evening and have dinner at the club (please note that dinner is optional and billed separately from the wine tasting registration).
