BC’s Best Pinot Noir - a Blind Tasting

Please join us for our premier wine tasting event of the year.

This annual event showcases a single wine varietal, with six of British Columbia’s finest expressions  selected for a blind tasting. This year we are showcasing Pinot Noir—a varietal well suited to British  Columbia’s terroir, and one capable of producing wines of remarkable quality and character.

Event Overview

Welcome Reception: We’ll gather at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for a casual Champagne  reception before moving into the main ballroom.

The Blind Tasting: Six pre-poured glasses of Pinot Noir will be waiting for you. Taste these wines  side-by-side without knowing their identity and rank them according to your personal preference.

The Reveal and Commentary: The results will be compiled and displayed in real time. RVYC  Sommelier Kwon Hyeokjin will guide the tasting, reveal the wines, and share insights on each wine.

Culinary Pairings: Thoughtfully curated small bites will accompany the tasting and discussion.

Post-Event Dinner: Following the tasting, we invite you to extend the evening with dinner at the  club. (Note that dinner is optional and is billed separately from the wine tasting registration.)
