About Us

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs today is a truly international gastronomic association, dedicated to honouring the preservation of the traditions and practices of the old French guild in a completely contemporary and international context.

The principal goal of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is to bring the more than 25,000 professional and non-professional, amateur members in over 80 member countries together to celebrate their passion for fine cuisines and wines.We wish to aid and encourage the development of young chefs and sommeliers worldwide through our national and international competitions as well as to provide international food support and aid to those in need.

2018 Regional Jeunes Chefs Competition

On April 28th, seven young professional chefs and four student chefs representing Chaînes des Rôtisseurs member establishments in Vancouver and Victoria came together to compete at the 2018 Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs competition. The annual competition, held at Vancouver Community College, saw our chefs participate in a classic “black box” competition, where each chef was required to create, cook and present a custom menu (appetizer, main course and dessert incorporating a pre-set assemblage of fresh ingredients) within a prescribed time limit. Vice-Conseiller Culinaire Chef Scott Jaeger of the Chaînes des Rôtisseurs ­– Vancouver Bailliage, with the assistance of competition coordinator Ruth Grierson, oversaw every aspect of the competition with the generous support of some of the city’s most accomplished chefs.
