The Bailli’s Picnic was a joyful celebration of summer, held in the beautiful backyard garden of our Vancouver Bailli under perfect sunny skies. Surrounded by lush greenery and warm sunlight, members gathered outdoors for an afternoon filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the easy elegance of alfresco dining. The relaxed garden setting created a welcoming and convivial atmosphere, making it the ideal backdrop for a memorable summer get-together amongst members and guests.

Attendees were treated to a generous outdoor buffet of old-fashioned Southern-style barbecue, expertly catered by Smoke and Bones BBQ. The menu was both hearty and deeply satisfying, featuring tender pulled pork, richly smoked brisket, flavourful chicken drumsticks, and savoury pork sausages, accompanied by all the classic trimmings: creamy potato salad, crisp coleslaw, Caesar salad, Southern-style baked beans, buttermilk cornbread, and warm dinner rolls with butter. To complement the rustic feast, attendees enjoyed a selection of wines from the Chaîne Cellar as well as beer, adding to the fun and leisurely spirit of the occasion.
